- VMworld 2017 – Wednesday
Here we are! Monday the show really starts. There’s quite a few more people here than we saw on Sunday and the keynotes are flying by.
The layout this year is a bit different but also a welcome change.
A fancy lit VMworld sign that many people were taking photos with.
Registration this year was fast and easy. With the VMworld 2017 app you just show your QR code and the badge gets printed.
One of the many places to just hang out.
VMVillage is busy and lots of room for people to chill and chat.
The Solutions Exchange is really busy this year. Lots of manufacturers with all kinds of different products.
Some of the vendors have some really crazy booths.
Over in the VMvillage I thought this was pretty cool. VMware has really been kicking it up a notch.
Hey look there in the middle! I’m officially official! Many thanks to the VMTN Community for this opportunity.
There’s so many massive screens. This one shows people across the world talking, blogging and on social media talking about VMworld.
Internet of Things is for real.
HPE Synergy and HPE 3PAR. HPE’s new blade chassis (they want you to call it a “frame”) is pretty cool. Interchangeable storage, GPU and compute components make this a definite one to watch.
I sat in on a very cool Horizon 7 Troubleshooting session. These guys know their stuff!
The EUC Keynote session was awesome! Workspace One is something I definitely need to get more familiar with. They demo’d VMware Horizon Cloud on Azure.
The JMP – Just in Time Management Platform is just awesome. They demo’d a unified interface where you can provision a desktop and apps to a user through a single interface. The combination of Horizon View, App Volumes and UEM is finally coming to reality.
We went to a party at Light Nightclub.
We went on walkabout to the Excalibur.
Everything seems so close but wow is everything in Las Vegas really so far away.
Stay tuned for more VMworld fun!
